Pretty much this. You see the same from longterm players in anything GAAS, not just gacha. After a while the progress you've built stops feeling like an accomplishment and more of a burden. Loss aversion takes over and now have to keep doing the dailies and completing all the timed events or you risk forfeiting all that progress you made to collect all those things. Even if you don't want to play you still have to because you don't want to miss out.

Game was way, way too sweaty for me. I quit in the first fucking derby because I got 0 rewards after playing for about a month every day. I was still just matched up against players with higher stats.

If I couldn't win anything in the first, presumably least sweaty, event then what was the point. The grind was way too long every single day to justify losing every single time.

If you get to group A that means you must have had a better win rate than group B since you can only get to A by going 3-2 or better in round 1 and then round 2. And then you're paired against other 3+/x trainers. Comparatively, you just need to go 2/3 to get into group B in round 1, or 1/4 in Round 2 if you were in Group A round 2.
That's why A 1st place gets plat and B first place gets gold. You categorically have to win more and beat better trainers.

I get CM burnout if you're in the mines farming grandparents every day, but I don't get more casual people disengaging because of CM burnout. There's nothing wrong with just playing more lax and building up some powerful inheritances. In the meantime, you can enter in the lower Open series for CMs just to see if you're doing better at all. People memed that the Open rank (restricted to only B grade horses) is full of min-maxers and harder than Classic but that's honestly nonsense.
For that matter, I also don't get dailies taking too long. A career takes 30 minutes if you're taking your time, but it's a mobile game, and you can clear it in chunks. Daily races and team trials is also just mashing enter/view results, it's not exactly unreasonable toiling to see it through.

What I would understand much more is leaving because of how little gibs we got for daily quests, but those were updated to match the accelerated pace.

To get to Group A finals you need to win 3 times or more in 2nd round. To get to B finals you need to win at least once in the second round. I don't really know how group B second round works since I've never gotten less than 3 wins in the first round, but regardless you sure as hell don't need to beat any group Bs to get to the Group A finals.

BTW I am 99% sure you have much stronger umas than I did because I could never ever even dream of getting into group A without luckshitting. This game is really fucking brutal if you want to go F2P. I learned the hard way that I can be a sucker for gacha games so I just don't spend money on them anymore. Right now my goal is to just save up all I can for the upcoming super gacha with every released Uma in it, but I already lost 15k because of the silly isekai-hat Grass Wonder tempting me. Didn't get a single *3 with that, now I've slowly gotten back up to 11k. But the worst thing is that even when I get what I actually care and like about this game, as in the different Umas and to see what zany shenanigans the writers have come up with for their careers, I am still handicapped by not having the resources to get the support cards. And the game has so far been giving some rather mediocre or just outright bad free event cards in comparison to some other gacha games that also have events give a free thing for your team. And this isn't just for PvP, I couldn't give two fucks about that. Around 800+ is the power recommended for most classes for this race, I wouldn't go lower than 700. 1200 speed and medium S is mandatory. Fronts need power to win the power struggle for first and not get blocked, everyone else needs power to surge forward at the end of the race. Too little power and you dont accelerate to your max speed fast enough. If your speed is lower, you can accelerate to it faster, but you want max speed with a medium S for this race, it's very important. If your power is in the 500s-600s, you will accelerate to your max speed too slowly and will be behind.

Red shift, shooting to victory, pumping iron etc are all really good because they accelerate you to your max speed faster. Triumphant pulse is good because it gives you a speed boost in the final stretch before the finish line, allowing you to overtake others.

For mile we invested more in power, some had max power because you could skimp on stamina more. Here you have to put more into your stamina and it's trickier to balance.

For extra power you can:
>Run speed cards with power bonuses (Kitasan and Halo, you should already be doing this)
>Go 4 speed, 2 power, inherit stamina (you'll be low balling stamina)
>Go 4 speed, 2 stamina, inherit power sparks (most people seem to be doing this)

Consider your stamina and guts as a shared pool. If you have 900+ stamina and 300ish guts, just consider that you need 1200 stamina. So if you had 600 stamina, then you need 600 guts to have a total of 1200. Guts are effectively stamina reserves as it stands now. This is why you can unironically run a guts/wits deck to get similar stats to a speed/stamina deck, as guts trains power and speed alongside guts.

It's because fronts in general are harder to build here and aren't as strong due to the race itself being longer. That gives pace chasers more time to catch up. It gives lates/ends more time to get to max speed and they have really strong acceleration abilities that S.maru can't use like red shift (unless you grandparent it in) and triumphant pulse/shooting (dont activate if you're in first).

It's a lot like Taurus in that a strong Oguri with Medium S, max speed or near it, two gold heals, red shift and shooting will win consistently. Summer Maru IS really good at passing other fronts, but if fronts in general are weaker here, she's not as good. It's also much harder to get a front that has

It's the same as Taurus. Oguri with Red Shift, Shooting, and Triumphant Pulse. Pace chasers are winning a LOT of these rooms. Those abilities are the key. The Triumphant pulse gives you that final speed boost to overtake max speed+ S. Marus at the very end. Fronts have angling, but that's all they have. Everyone else has red shift and shooting + triumphant speed boost. You can get ahead for a moment, but it's hard to sustain the lead as front from the test rooms I've seen. Strong S. Marus are not winning as consistently as you would think, or at all in some cases.

Every uma that is winning has near max speed with Medium S in pace style. But also Ryan's ability is super strong on lates/ends, and Ryan herself will probably be strong as the nip man said himself. They can also stack red shift and shooting on top of pumping iron. Iron was less strong in cancer because the activation window was smaller due to the course. It is much more likely to proc in Leo. Remember how strong Golshi was in Taurus? She'll be strong here too just like last time.

Late is getting the Nice Nature Wit SSR which has Grass Wonder's gold acceleration skill on it, making it much easier to put on other lates. A little later they get Mejiro Dober trainee which has a Seiun-like ability you pass on to others making lates really strong. If you are late chad, you want Nature Wit SSR (end of this month) and Dober (not gonna be till early january probably)

As for Pace I don't think they'll have any buffs there. Paces are extremely strong in Leo though so take advantage of that while you can. I heard eventually paces get a buff with some uma/ssrs but I dont remember what.

I would say Grass you don't need On Your Left as badly for this one. It's just not as strong of an acceleration skill here, even if it's good to have. You're better off getting her Potential 3 and investing in inheriting Red Shift/Pumping Iron + shooting to victory with her parents. Those are far more crucial acceleration skills here, and Dominator is just really good here too. Much cheaper to get potential 3 than 5.
