You don't *need* to collect any bees. Their main function is combo'ing with your chains to give you hyper bonuses. Typically these are placed at strategic locations through the stage to give you meter during sections where you really need it, for example right before a boss fight, so they're quite merciful in their design implementation. You can unlock the second loop by EITHER losing no more than two lives OR by getting all the bees in the first 3 stages. You need to do the former to realistically even have the shot at beating the 2nd loop anyways, but getting all the bees in the first stage is actually really, really easy and not the least bit strict.

The bees are easy to find in stage 1 and stage 2, that leaves you a choice between any of the next 3 stages, and I think stage 4 is usually the easiest for this.

M2 will never port their Shot Triggers series to PC. They're autistic about making their games as arcade-perfect as humanly possible. Performance on a console is even across the board, versus the variation in everyone's individual PC build. If even a frame is off, they won't port to a console, let alone PC. They've been sitting on that Armed Police Batrider port for years but they can't make it as perfect as they want in terms of performance on PS4.

I recommend SDOJ story mode, arcade is difficult but 1cc'ing story isn't that bad (although you'd still struggle if you're a beginner), just put some podcast on and replay the last stage over and over again until you get it

I think you guys are confusing Dodonpachi with daioujou, because daioujou never worked unless you used the xbox emulator and even then it wasn't perfect

I'm pretty sure anyone can do this, and you mastered the stage enough for 1CC once you minimize the usage of your bombs to the the best of your ability without risking unexpected deaths

Have tested that and it works. Although I'm not sure about how accurate it is there, but save states are always supported by RA.
As for the PS2 version, PCSX2 also supports savestates but that's not relevant when the port has stage select with a lot more customization than what you can achieve through states.
