I've been in a limbo reaching early stages of quitting this place which I haven't felt like in the 12+ years I've been here and thought I never would.
I know the site was fucked by the time I got here and it's only gotten worse, but I've come to the realisation that more than ever people just want to start shitflinging at all costs, even over the most innocuous shit. Not to say there was no shitflinging in the past, but it seems at this point an utter majority of posters come here to get angry at the same thing they were angry at for 69 times this week already in the same way, just pick an aspect of something in a discussion and spend entire threads going back and forth in lengthy posts trying to put down an anon they do not know while they themselves are also not a known entity to the other, or failing that just make up stuff out of thin air and start screaming at clouds for the sake of it.
It might have to do with normalfags being more present than ever and them carrying deep-seated anger within, but it seems to also be getting to some more native anons who have been crushed by the pressure of the shitflinging mountains.
I've rambled hard but

I don't think so and I'm starting to feel it's too far gone. It's a shame.
