I am not that interested in the webcomic because politics & light smut don't sound that interesting but I might trial read the first few chapters.

How would you make a Yinglet game? Personally, I would like a combat RPG. However, I think that a survival life sim game, where you try to get by by doing odd jobs and scavenging to get food, with a focus on avoiding combat and stealthily avoiding and escaping predators at all cost beause you are weak, would make a lot more sense in the context of the lore. Maybe you could be a trader who buys goods low, travels top other tribes and sells them high. Or you could save up money by doing jobs to get your own farm.

IIRC the artifact that turned Kass into a yinglet turned literally all living matter it came into contact with into yinglets, but apart from Kass it only touched some plants and bugs which turned into horrifying malformed lumps of flesh due to lacking the necessary mass to form a yinglet body.

Given the hints about mysterious sci-fi technology scattered throughout the story I'm almost certain that yinglets are the result of some ancient biotechnology leaking into the environment.
