I wish I was joking. It's all over the Internet. Why do you think the top Twitch streamers have chat that either is moving at a snail's pace, or is just emoji spam? Botting. And they bot to get sponsors. Sponsors pay you per CCV/view. Some agency that was setting up sponsors to streamers lately leaked a research that shows it's more profitable to give a sponsorship to someone who has 100-200 viewers on Twitch, than someone who has 10k, because of those 10k it's likely that over 95% are bots.
Managing social media is basically a full-time job nowadays.
