You guys misunderstood what I was getting at. It's not so much about "obvious title drop lol" (though that can be a common issue as well). The reason I chose this specific picture is to contrast it with the original, real dialogue of this scene (so I guess if you're not familiar with the film this won't make as much sense to you). A lot of game writers are just unable to hold up a consistent tone and thematic coherence all the way to the end, and moments that could be poignant like this, oftern end up fumbling it by having trite, uninspired dialogue, or thematically inconsistent with the rest of the story and what it was building up to. And since many games are deeply afraid of using their mechanics to tell their story as well (think actually making you severely underpowered in gameplay like the character is in the story), they all essentially become a collection of these memes you posted awkwardly strung together into an awkward story that doesnt know what it wants to be or what it even wants to say. The severity of the problem differs from game to game depending on how story focused they are but most games, with maybe only a few exceptions, suffer from this.
