An Assassin's Creed set during the American Civil War would actually be pretty cool.
I wouldn't even mind the main character being a freed slave whose enemies are the KKK. Because that's relatively historically accurate.
Ubisoft could have released a game version of Django Unchained—a cool black guy's adventure in the American South.
But no, Ubisoft insisted on adding George Floyd to medieval Japan.
Then everything started falling apart, and AC got sold to Tencent.

That's sort of correct.
After the war, most southern states were collapsed and in complete disarray. The problem was further compounded by having roving gangs of recently freed incel niggers everywhere.
The KKK was a militia group that formed to handle vigilante justice and keep the nigger population in check. The outfits and clandestine meetings were intended to protect their identity, since even in those times, carpetbagger jews from northern states were already meddling in US politics.
