Switch 2 had an amazing launch but that's more because they delayed it and had a shit ton of consoles available. In Japan, sales have been flat for 7 weeks and its sellling worse than the Switch did the same time last year. It's doing awful in Europe where even several French retailers are dropping the price. Still OK in the US, but it will lose its record to the PS4 in September (data hasn't been made available). Nintendo stock has been on a downswing for a reason.

Because the majority bought on switch 1 or just emulated to get the 4k and 60fps. if any pokemon game is selling the switch 2 it will be an actual exclusive one like gen 10 next year

I know that historically launch years are often weak. Considering how long they delayed releasing this console. Since games are made for shareholders now, they won't release any actual big guns like Mario or Zelda until more people adopt the Switch 2 and there's more hype around them. If 30 million people want to buy Mario again but there's only 20 million consoles available, that's potentially 10 million missed sales. More than that since less than 1 in 5 Switch 1 owners bought Mario Odyssey.

That's why the big games currently releasing are still crosgen other than Mario Kart which is their de facto bundle game since it was the holiday bundle for 7 years straight on the Switch 1.

They didn't though? They update their hardware and software sales quarterly, with the last report saying Switch 2 sell-through passed 6 million worldwide in July. November is the next report which will give worldwide data from August-October. They only give figures outside of that if they're particularly exceptional (the Switch 2 having the largest first week console sales in history, for example).
