How do people tell the difference between AMD Graphics and Nvidia Graphics? They honestly look the fucking same to me. If it was so different, game devs here can explain?

By lying. Not like they are taking a blind test.

It's a difference you see with your soul. What's essential to the heart is invisible to the eyes.

Good question OP. How do people tell the difference between PS5 Pro Monster Hunter and say Nvidia 4060ti Monster Hunter?

People are retarded and spend $400-600 extra on a GPU just because someone on Youtube told them it has better "insert gay Windows feature here that Linux mogs without"

Like how people spend extra money on Gsync when its the same as Freesync and works on everything besides Nvidia?

They need a fps meter at all times.

Because up until a few months ago, the 3D rendering gimmicks (FSR and DLSS) used by AMD and Nvidia were really disparate in terms of quality, with DLSS being noticeably better than FSR.

What's the difference between 360 graphics (ATi/AMD) and PS3 graphics (Nvidia) when they look the same most of the time. PS3 mainly loses in fps because of lack of cell optimization or using 256mb of ram instead of 512.

thats just AA quality. I'm talking about actual 3D quality. models, shaders, etc.
Anonymous No.723634739 [Report] >>723634784
how to tell the difference

open control panel. enable dldsr 1.78x set smoothness to 100%

Go to game set it at the highest resolution. put dlss in balanced

dlss at 1440p is less than 1080p. its 1707x970.
dlss at 1080p is even worse. its 720p. same as 360/ps3 resolution in 2005/2006

Seriously, any actual game devs here?

I want real game devs not armchair pc prebuilders.

Your fault for being poor

1800p render resolution upscaled to 5k ( 2880p) is what i play at

>>723634665
xbox uses directx and playstation uses it's own thing whatever the fuck it's called, has nothing to do with amd or nvidia.

>>723634919
the only poorfag is you for justifying less than 1080p in 2025.

i think there were some noticeable differences back before ATi was bought out by AMD, but nowadays if you see any differences it's because of bugs.

explain steam deck. it doesnt use directx or nvidia.

Nvidia driver gives you worse texture quality if it detects you're a vramlet. AMD just gives you the full textures regardless of GPU.
Anonymous No.723635204 [Report]
>>723635043
it uses proton as a layer on top to run directx games

DLSS is more than its input resolution. What if I told you 1080p upscaled to 4k is just 1080p internally but looks better than any form of 1440p? Sounds bullshit, but it's true. Because it's not just about input res.

They can't it's just pure console war bullshit but for expensive graphics cards

You can see the difference when alt-tabbing between games and web browsers or other electron apps. Some rainbow artifacts for a split second and the browser in focus will cause coil whine that goes away the instant you change to the game window. Not all games have this problem, happens more often in indie games.

Meant to say it affects the AMD cards, their Windows drivers specifically.
