Hades
I feel like some fights are made difficult solely through the VFX diarrhea on the screen. Like, Hecate. I just did the first Rival run against her, and while I won, it cost me all DDs.
It was similar to the very first time you face her. Like, she has that circular wave attack, which has a bunch of green flames going out of her, and also a purple ring. And ONLY the ring does damage. While her other attacks also have green flames, except those actually have a hitbox.
The Rival Hecate has a new black circle thing, and, again, it's unclear if you can stand inside, or you can't. Does it damage you, does it debuff you? No idea, too much shit on the screen. Chronos has the same issue. Some of his attacks apply desaturated piss filter, so everything looks the same. And there's one attack he has, when concentric circles come towards a point from the edges of the screen. And there's a gradient between each circle. Do only the edges of the circles do damage, or is the entire area behind the border is a void zone? I beat him quite a few times already, and I still have no clue.
Hades bread, I guess, since I didn't see one in the catalog.
