I think a lot of Japanese guys feel "overwhelmed by her.". Ann is by far the most "outgoing" (But still pure) girl in the game, very social, and an actual model! She also knows how to use a phone and I guess it's just too much for some guys. And she's fine with getting physically close to male members

She didn't really leave good impression in the game. After first arc, her character turned out to be too much of a stupid bimbo for people to seriously care for her.
...I'd say writers are to blame. They had to make other characters stupid to make Makoto seem smart by just having common sense.

Pretty much. She was never an honor student, but during Kamoshida arc we didn't get impression of her being a total dumbass either.
Then in her social link and following story chapters... She was just an idiot. Man, fuck those writers.

One scene that comes to mind is one where she talks with another model from the agency, who asks her what her fitness regime is like to keep that figure.
And Anne's response is like "Uhhh... Fitness regime? What's that? I just eat whatever I want!"
Afterwards she's weirded out when other girl gets frustrated with her.

Ann during the Kamoshida arc, post-Kamoshida, and during her Confidant are all different characters.
P5's writing is atrocious, and Ann is one of the parts that stands out.

The writer literally hates her, and the game actively tells the audience not to like her. Makoto is more traditionally Japanese, Ann is evil gaijin whore. Common in anime stories though.

Also she's implied to be "tainted" so nippon says nope. FUTAba was much more popular in west because "omg cute neet girl sexxx" as blondes aren't as popular. P5 just has many good girls. Ann isn't bad, but there are so many other options so people gravitate towards them.
Also Ann is dumb as box or rocks. And not even in the cute way.
She also lacks that "hime"-mentality so you can't even spin into that.

There's an inverse correlation between attractiveness and intellect, beautiful girls get used to getting a free ride through life and never learn the mental capacity to commit to working hard at anything, and this goes double for white girls since they're the hottest in their youth.

Interacting with white women makes me feel like a man in a playground.
