If you take away the cyberworld spaces and realize that the human characters perceive everything happening on the net as just their navi talking to them on a small screen (that's all they see in the show even when their navis are battling), the mmbn games' setting seems incredibly stupid.

I feel like the isometric cyberworld segments are what Lan sees and that's why Megaman turns to (You) and pumps a fist whenever he picks up items. This probably contradicts some dialogue somewhere in the several games the series has though.
