Tales of Eternia
I couldn't find a Tales of Eternia PSP undub+battlefix+removed battery icon+reintroduced skits ROM so I patched my own. The battlefix patch fixes the framerate and erases input delay in battle. Sadly, there are no subs for the skits, but I'd rather have them there for the completeness of the game. Someone on YouTube did translate all the skits which I will include a link to the playlist in this post. Enjoy, anons!

What were they thinking?

That's the problem, they weren't when it was literally 6 characters of assembly that had to be changed. It was a half-assed, lazy port that they couldn't be bothered to dub skits for so they just ripped it out entirely. Makes me mad to this day but this is the best we got thus far. I just wished there was an easy way to sub the skits but there are no text boxes to work with.

The game has a really interesting world with fun lore, particularly the different spirits and their respective environments. The visuals are stellar; some of the best 2D art in the series. It also has some weird but fun mini games. And what I like the most...the dungeon designs/puzzles. Eternia isn't my all-time favorite overall, but it has the best puzzles and dungeons in the series. Particularly that final dungeon! Farah in particular is a combo-heavy, healer-brawler who helps to drive the early plot to the point that I forgot she's not the protagonist. It definitely deserves a playthrough and this is the best way to play it, currently.

ps1 version allow you to play with friend, with 2 characters. and something else missing from psp version, but nothing big, overall psp version is totally good.

I was obviously talking about why the PSP port was better. Do you have autism or just really bad reading comprehension?

Ps1 version allows you to play multiplayer, up to 4 players if you have the multiplayer add on.

Also nets you 1 extra title for the dancing mini game.

Also allows you to play to play 2 player craymel ball.

Think that's about it.

The only thing, I guess is new for the psp version is the save slots having pictures depending where you are saving I think. I guess for the European version, the volt bug on older filmware versions.

Tales of Symphonia for the complete package.
Tales of Graces F for gameplay.
There, just play these two. Ignore the rest.

Tales of Symphonia with all its ports is still best experienced with the GameCube version undubbed, patched for widescreen, blur removed, and with an hd texture pack; it's the only one that can hit 60fps, too.

PSP version has 60 FPS in battle, PS1 version only has 30. The PSP version is cropped to fit the screen however. Pick your poison basically.

stopped my gacha to come and show respect to you, dear anon. You even included some HD texture pack, too. I looked around for a minute and could not find it, is it also made by you? What a chad. Thank you so much. Do you know if 60fps battle patches could work for the vita games like Tales of Hearts and Innocence R? Not asking you to do it, just if its technically possible.

Anonymous No.723677117
>>723677063
Yeah. A lot of the Tales games are like that, 30 FPS outside of battles, 60 FPS in.

I started playing this the other day in Japanese and I now understand why the skits didn't get translated in a lot of Tales games.
>playing the game, understanding everything fine mostly
>get to a skit, no text
>suddenly don't understand a thing they're saying
