The most fun I've ever had playing vidya was helping my little sis with Ni No Kuni's spellbook puzzles and voicing the birds in Hatoful Boyfriend. Alright I think I whipped something up. There are now bumpers on the sides which lock you into going a set direction (east/west) until you escape the field. Bumpers also feeds into the 60s death beam mechanic since you'll have a much harder time dodging it with two of your cardinal directions locked. The field ALSO has a gravitational pull of its own, and will actively try to pull your ball into it. In order to avoid the cycle, you need to either use the spacebar, or have quick reflexes.
