I’m playing Death Stranding 2. Pretty great so far. I’m only a couple hours in.

I got further into Vernal Edge, the boss battles and the arena are starting to kick my ass.
A bit, the game's fault. Some unfortunate hitboxes on that one fight, and during the arena fights with all these enemies spawning in, shit really gets hard to see.
But it's also because the fights just get really hard - and fun. They aren't pulling any punches. Love this game, despite the aforementioned flaws.

i finished building the car and got it inspected
i don't need to worry about money since i did the make Jouke kill himself route
then the car mostly sat around while i did the misc jobs for fun
turns out he changed it so the car has to be re-inspected to enter the rally? or also to avoid police fines?
the police don't exist in my save file due to some glitch, one of my mods might have fucked it up because they literally don't spawn.
so i drove it to town full throttle to get it re-inspected without realizing i was low on oil, or had an oil leak or something.
i checked my save file and the engine was literally 0% oil
turbo fucked the head gasket and pistons.
somehow the fucking thing still passed inspection.
then i towed it to fleetari's with the gifu and rebuilt the entire engine in his driveway, buying new parts as they came out.
then i checked my save file again, and it turned out i missed a bolt on a random bearing, requiring another full engine teardown.
i'm like 42 in-game days in and the car has only been roadworthy for like, 2 of those
10/10 gameplay

Cross between Link to the Past, Terraria and Rimworld is the best way I can think to put it
Half your time is spent fighting, mining, collecting gear and sorting out your class/build, while the other half is making a colony, housing settlers and getting them to work for you. You can also have them follow you on adventures or fighting bosses
