The remake removed the depth out of reloading. In the original reloading at the wrong time could mean death since you were stationary and couldn't cancel out of it. It created a relationship of risk and decision-making in the gameplay. But thanks to the remake allowing you to move out of harm's way even while reloading, there's no longer any decision-making associated with reloading. You always move while reloading. Why wouldn't you? It's now nothing more than a momentary halt in the action.

There's a webm of MatthewMatosis playing OG4 and it shows him dying because he reloaded when chainsaw guy was right in front of him. If this was the remake, he would've just moved out of the way and suffered no consequences.

If it's fun it's fun if it' not it's not. I don't care about anything else. Both the original and remake were fun.

The free movement strafing and whatnot is what made it trash. It was fine for re2 remake because the original was fixed camera angles and not a 3rd person shooter

And you sound like a contrarian desperate to come up with points to argue.

>"Muh reloading!1"

Fuckin' really? How about "my dumber AI?" Or "My game pausing anytime I want to switch equipment, destroying the seamless-paced combat of the remake"?
OG's worse an many, many ways.

You have it wrong. Extra movement isn't what made it bad. It's the simple fact that shitcom is OBSESSED with adding "standstill and never move your reticle for an hour so it focuses and you get to enjoy the full damage your shots should've been doing since the start" to any of the REmakes. I could argue that even the shitty parry windows are also a point to how bad the remake is.
>parry literally when the attack is about to connect with Leon's soft neck
>normal parry
>parry when the enemy has just begun swinging
>perfect parry
and the same can happen in reverse, parry when the attack almost connects and it's a perfect. There's more I could nitpick, but that's about the main things that pissed me off about this game. At that point you're better off playing the ridiculous mods for the original with infinite verdugos that you have to kill with only the knife.

The only thing they did wrong with reloading is that quick turn cancels it

Fucking lol
>y-you sound unintelligent so I win!!!
And you sound like a legitimate retard who thinks contrarian opinions lead to good discussion
They can if they make sense
Your opinions don’t
So you’re just spouting air
Dumb bitch, go have a long personal moment of reflection on how fucking stupid you are
>n-no I win I said I won so that means I win I’m smart!!

>standstill and never move your reticle for an hour so it focuses and you get to enjoy the full damage your shots should've been doing since the start

this is typical chink game design, jap gamers are typically fucking terrible at anything that requires any sort of aiming so they don't mind streamlined shit that discourages even bothering to shoot and kill enemies

While you're at it, should we also include micro-transactions, loot crates, and base-building mechanics?

you could've had a valid point with reloading in og if it weren't for the handguns (and lets just ignore tmp for the sake of this point) having nearly instantaneous reload speed even when unupgraded
og is overall better but re4r is great for a modern game
