I struggled with a lot of the bosses, but about halfway through fighting Grand Mother Silk the first time I realized that my King King 2 was legit broke and fucking up my directional inputs, so I switched to an 8Bitdo SNES-alike. Made things much easier

I still continued to eat face against the remaining bosses for another twenty hours before finally beating Lost Lace, though. Can't fix stupid.

I don't get the crying about "abusing" tools, they're not even that good. Couldn't beat half the tough fights with tool spam, had to switch back to Wanderer crutch to easily do the job. Silk generation is the most important ability in the game, and Wanderer generates silks the fastest, allowing you to nearly face tank anything, because of how much heals you generate.

It's cause of stuff like Groal speedkills blowing him up in 10 seconds but you're right that there are plenty of really overpowered strats. I've done a couple of playthroughs to experiment and Wanderer is probably the easiest (not necessarily best, just easiest) way to do most things for the exact reason you mentioned. Even if you fuck up, you generated so many resources you can recover, and you have unconditional high dps on demand at any point in time.

Exploration in this game feels very unrewarding. There's entire sections with fucking nothing good or fun to be found in them like Sinners Road that only has a shitty red weapon after clearing a generic "fetch me shit you get after killing enemies x10"
There's a serious issue with exploration in this game and the actual fun and useful shit like thread, health or need upgrades are locked behind insanely boring and repetitive quests instead of you know ACTUALLY EXPLORING like you're supposed to in a metroidvania.

I'm almost there. 98% completion. Only that plant thing, Green Prince + bro, and Lost Lace left to fight. The only things I looked up were how to recruit Garamond (Shakra replaces him) and Second Sentinel (you can't) to High Halls gauntlet, how to open the shortcut between Styx's room and Greymoor, where to find specific enemies I missed (like Elder Pilgrim outside Chapel of the Wanderer), where all the Memory Lockets were (I missed the ones in Memorium, Underworks, Halfway Home, and Bellhart), and where the last blue item I missed was (it was Quick Sling in Bilewater).

There's a difference between the 100% achievement and 100%ing SS in its entirety. 100%ing the game would be like the old 112% achievement in HK, for example.

So if you are a completionist and want to do EVERYTHING in the game, then Seth is required for one of the mementos that you get from beating his scores. Otherwise you'll have 7/8 mementos.
