They should have made a sequel to 8 instead of 7. Its the one that literally already has the time travel shit built into the lore.

I tried to force myself to beat ff12 several times but I just cant do it. Its just so boring and tedious. I finished 4,6,7,8,9,10,13 but cant do 12. I just cant.

I'm more mad that the original idea for Dirge of Cerberus, was a shooter where you played as Laguna.

FF12 is a fun hunting RPG. As long as you're exploring the world and doing hunts, the game is fun. The main story is bland as porridge.

are you serious? That would have kicked ass! But from a business perspective, I guess I could see why they'd go with lame-ass Vincent.

>Hypothetical: They make a game celebrating all the Final Fantasy minigames
>Execution: It's set on a luxury casino airship resort run by Setzer
>Games: Casino favorites like slots, poker, and blackjack, along with Triple Triad, Tetra Master, Blitzball, Chocobo Track betting
>MC: A cigar chomping moogle wearing a green casino visor.

FF7 was so clearly the point the series went to shit, but everyone wants to pretend otherwise because it was their first JRPG and it had "muh graphics."

I did it on my twelfth try. That try it still took eleven months and that's while I sped through the main story and did nothing extra on purpose. You need to get fundamentally angry for not beating it to beat it.

As long as the prize isn't unreasonable, absolutely. It's what I've always hoped Blackjack would have in the remake. Also please add Chronobind; the secret best card game of the series.

FF16: The king of fire destroys the realm of ice, the king of ice has an affair with the queen of earth, the king of earth commits suicide, the queen of wind profits from the war and instability, and the child of light who is destined to balance the elemental forces is killed half way through the game, leaving his bodyguards to clean up the mess and wonder if they were any better off than when they started.

FF17: An invincible geomancer brutally assassinates certain individuals with a connection to the four elements, so that he may realign them for the purposes of killing himself, but a party of his victim's children turn the tables and cause him to be reborn as a moogle.

FF18: A group of retired soldiers are hired by a master clockmaker named Garland to seal a multidimensional rift created by one of his grandfather clocks, but one of the dimensions becomes more stable than their reality, setting the plot for FF1.

FF19: There's a giant brain inside the planet that forces unwitting groups of humans and monsters against each other for its own amusement.

FF20: A warrior from the past murders people from the future to prevent any of them from traveling back and undoing a bargain made by their ancestors to postpone all of winter until the end of time.

FF21: A sentient program halts a group of young idealists from freeing humanity from their dreamlike prison, as the people "stuck" inside are there on their own free will, because it's the only means of trapping three colossal espers that would otherwise eat all of humanity.

Not really samefagging. To be honest, FF6 was the beginning of the end since its so different from the ones prior. It's most akin to 4 somewhat, due to the political ties to the plot, but the setting is clearly more steampunkish than the others, pushing final fantasy into the modern bishounen series it's known for today, FF7 was just the breaking point.

Always liked how FF, up until 7 at least, had a pattern with the odd/even entries

FF1: little story, but you can build a party with any class combo
FF2: more serious story, but you play fixed characters
FF3: less story/character emphasis, but more customization. job system debuts here
FF4: most serious story yet, back to fixed characters
FF5: lighthearted story, but a more expansive job system
FF6: you know the drill

6 is where it starts to fall apart, because while each character has a unique ability between relics and magicite you can start to build whatever
this is the same setup for 7, 8 and 10

also I think 2 breaks your pattern on customization. in 2 you can do whatever you want to the 3 and later 4 lads. 2 and 5 has essentially the same amount of customization
