Just finished all the Team Silent games. Are the other games in the series worth playing?

There's a lot of games that came out this month I'm interested in, and none of them are horror, so this year hasn't been Halloween focused for me.

Hell no.

I just beat Withering Rooms a few days ago. Not a scary game outside of a few bonkers moments, but still great.
I don't have any other spooky games left on my list right now, besides I guess Fear and Hunger 2. I already beat Silent Hill 1-4 last October.
Might get Visage on sale though.

Try Origins. Try it. It's the closest the other games get to Team Silent SH but it's a very hit or miss game. So I say try it. You'll know if you feel it worth to continue playing very quick. Do the PS2 port.
I also recommend Shattered Memories though it's not very scary and doesn't offer much in pure gameplay. I find it quite novel though. The exploration and scenarios are top notch and the psyche profile mechanics are very neat. Do the Wii version, suffer the wagglan as originally intended. PS2 port is a big downgrade.

Then don't play Resident Evil. Silent Hill has very few jump scares, it's more about fucking with your mind through an unsettling atmosphere.

Just beat Silent Hill 3. The human antagonist in this didn't really hit nearly as hard as what 2 was going for I think, but the bitter sweet vibes definitely hit much harder.

I don't know how far long Silent Hill F I'm in, I just beat Rinko after getting the fox body parts. I think it kinda sucks so far I don't think I'll finish it unless the rest of game really blows my dick off. I'll give it one more session but already anticipating picking a different horror game this Halloween.
