So many years of this AI buzzword and we are yet to see any improvements in the actual NPC AI. It should be trivially easy to implements NPCs in games that have a more sophisticated AI where they can make real decisions instead of following a line and a couple of if then statements.
Fuck chatbots and generated dialogue. Give me NPCs who act better than the 2004 Half Life 2 shit we are stuck with.

Neuro-sama (and Evil by extention) is the only one I like, Vedal really must have slaved like a true autistic god to make her so good. It's not just tricks either, she genuinely can reapond to random stimuli with surprising amounts of grace, and doesn't have the same fake way of speaking chatbots do.
Only interested when they all reach her level.

Do you know how hard it is to make something on the level of Neuro-sama? If anything, more work was put into her than all the Vtubers with their models/rigging/etc combined.

AI is too expensive to run, how do we streamline it? It will need to be streamlined if the world is going to change, we can't possibly run most menial jobs with AI if it takes so much computing power just to answer stupid questions and generate retarded images.

I want to live in a world where we get UBI, all dogshit tedious jobs are done by robots, I can focus my energy on a passion for work instead of on waging, and I want to go home and log in to a world like STALKER where the NPCs are actually fully ran by complex AI. It would be the fuckin dream, but I just don't see it happening even in the next 100 years.
