Can Japs please stop with this shit, it adds nothing. If it's established from the beginning that the protagonist is special, it's fine, but doing it at the halfway point is just pointless, because by the point the protagonist was already doing everything that the "chosen one" label comes with anyway, so it makes no difference. They don't need to be a chosen one if they're just doing generic protagonist stuff.
