On the contrary, he would be a nutjob IF he published it. This is the best case scenario for a cracker: solved a problem that no one else in the world could do for years, boasted about it, didn't do anything that could get him in legal trouble, and now companies will line up to give him extremely well-paying jobs.

The nutjob version of this is wasting weeks or even months of your life to give something for free to people that hate you and will do everything within their power to dox you if they suspect you are trans or whatever, and to top it off you eventually get arrested and spend the rest of your life paying millionaire fines.

If you can prove to a tech company you cracked denuvo it is a guaranteed job. The quality of this job is up to debate, but there is no denying that it is an impressive feat that less than 0.01% of tech workers can do.
