This. I also liked the Wo Long demo for this, but didn't care for the gameplay enough to get the full game.
I wouldn't say Elden Ring is good for this, but you can get some surprisingly decent results out of it. Though in order to get anything remotely passable out of it, you must git gud.
I recall Korean MMOs going hard into face sculpting, to the point that for all my waifu sliding autism, I found BDO to be a bit daunting. I'm sure other games have outdone it since then. I also never cared too much what my character's face looked like in BDO because I just wanted to do gardening, so I picked the hobbit class.

Inzoi deserve special praises because they went beyond and let us actually customize the curvature and sharpness of the fold on top of inline lids slider, it's incredible

it took KT like 5 attempts before they finally got it (somewhat) right in rise of the ronin lol
huge letdown there's no customization in the newest dynasty warriors game considering how beautiful the eyes are of the main/default preset protagonist

Hyperrealistic?, none really, they all have big ifs and many cons. Inzoi is the more in-depth one I have seen but it's a Sims-wannabe so you aren't really going to do much with the character itself.

Did they ever flesh InZoi out any? It was a very competent character creator and that's about it.

it's still in early access
they fixed the face shadowing bug so now the characters look good ingame, like they do on the creation screen

for future updates they'll be focusing more on overhauling existing mechanics and relationships before they add more flashy updates like cahaya
