There's literally no need for one.
Play better games.

childhood is idolizing x86 handhelds like the steam deck
adulthood is realizing that snapdragon + mesa is king

But all the best games run on it.

On the OG Steam Deck, I'm talking about a hypothetical Steam Deck 2 which for some reason people want despite the OLED being able to play 99% of all games except 1% of UE5slop and anticheat games.

Oooh right, missed that. I'd still want an updated steam deck for battery life improvements or whatever.

True but at this point an SD2 should be much more than just that, but it's still way too early for a complete overhaul. Deck still competes with $800 handhelds despite the lower end model going for like $300.

Not really, steam deck is more and more outdated every day, the rog xbox ally x shits all over it

Z2E is only barely better than Z1E in most benchmarks, and Z1E isn't a large enough leap to warrant an entirely new Deck.
From what I can tell it's like the difference between a PS4 and a PS4 Pro. And hardly worth the power. PPW on ROG Ally handhelds are still inferior to handhelds from what I've seen, it makes up for it with the 80whr battery but there's no need for a larger battery if these chips were more efficient, the Switch 2 pulls less power and does a lot more.
I would prefer if the Deck 2 was released 3 years from now where we have experienced a larger leap in mobile graphics technology, FSR4 is mature, and Steam UI is feature complete.
