The game looks ugly. They took the Bayonetta engine and grafted Ninja Gaiden gameplay onto it, and those hit stops are so ugly. And the game itself is just dated. It lacks vision. For all its problems, Bayo3 was at least creative within the Nswitch limitations, but NG4 seems to be a rushed game for Microsoft's Netflix thing. I was going to renew my purchase, but when I saw MGR ninja running, I gave up. Nioh is where Koei at least still puts effort in.

For NGB I use Xemu which works great, I only play at 480p so my performance rating may be better. Only thing to note is the first time you boot the game per session there is some random stuttering for like the first 2 minutes when it tries rendering new vfx and shit, otherwise it's perfectly smooth.
Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xenia is kinda fucking horrible, you need to edit some lines in the config otherwise character models won't be visible. On top of that the item icons in menus will sometimes stay fixed so every single item will have the icon of healing herb for example. But the worst issue is the audio, it will completely cut out anywhere from 10 seconds in to 10 minutes in and the only way to fix it is restart the emulator. People say changing some settings can help, but so far nothing I've tried has worked.
If for some reason you want to emulate vanilla Ninja Gaiden 3, it also runs quite well on RPCS3. I've made it to roughly the dinosaur part with no issues aside from a few crashes iirc.

5700x3d coupled with a 3080ti, getting 100+ fps in 1440p. It looks good for a game that also performs well. A good number of interactive objects in sight, and I'm a big fan of the way they animated blood in this game. I also like Yakumo, I played the trilogy so much I'm happy to learn a new character. Blood raven is fun so far, looking forward to unlocking more forms. Tying parry to attacking sounds like a good idea.

Thoughts so far-

It's definitely still feels like a Platinum game, but not really in a bad way, it's a NG made by Platinum. I like it, but if you hate Platinum it probably won't win you over.
I'm playing on Hard and getting my ass kicked a lot, but this might be because I'm not used to the game yet. I don't know if its as hard as NG2 or 3RE, but its definitely harder that Sigma 2 and the enemies are no pushovers
The story and characters are probably the weakest aspect so far, they're not bad, but feel kind of generic, but I'm liking Yakumo more as a character than I expected. His tsk edgelord no nonsense attitude feels weirdly old school.
I like the additions of side missions and more optional encounters, the visuals and UI are nice but I'm also a sucker for cyberpunk shit, the soundtrack fucking slaps.

It’s good, it’s hard but I’m not a master ninja, I’m just playing on normal but first boss killed me like 10 times felt like he did a lot of damage and you have to react quickly to his attacks. I did the first purgatory aka “challenge” area on Beast Mode which I think reduced my HP by 45% and it took me a while to clear it. Yakumo is a pretty lame character but the game seems great so far on hard. PC port is janky (why can't you select dlss quality modes???) but it runs well enough once fiddled with. What are people not liking about it?

Tried it out on the XBAWX, not to bad, enemies are aggressive as fuck and you really need to keep an eye out on who's doing what, camera is kind of ass but the UI does a good job of warning you that something is coming offscreen.
Died to the first mission in the first stage(3 DFO officers) and the encounter after that so far.
Pretty cool game, I'll dig more into it tomorow.
