If your guild system is so shallow that you have no rival guilds who may dislike your current employers, and they have no requirements for entry/advancement, and your character building is so shallow that you can effectively do everything your game is probably ass if they at all want to focus on these aspects

Marketing as always lies to you and paint a different impression of what the game would be.
It's impossible to know whether you'd like a game without playing it. Without a demo available you're stuck taking the plunge.
A diligent person would wait for review and consensus on the game to form to inform their purchase. However when the game is meant to be played in groups of friends and everyone else is grabbing it, it's a blind jump you have to take if you wanna partake in it.
