The only thing you can do now as a modern gaymer is play the majority if your games on PC, burn them to bluray discs like ROMS and play the original systems for exclusives that arent on PC. Only a few systems like 3DS and switch are left out everything else is easy and accurate to emulate.

Any other product, whether its food, a recipe, whatever that took time to develop isnt copyrighted and its not illegal to bake and sell it. Something that results in no damage, no harm and not depriving the owner of the original work is not illegal.

Valve has been pretty relaxed about things that aren't cheating, I think something really significant would have to happen for them to start policing everybody's language. I don't see any reason why they'd just start doing it tomorrow or even 10 years from now. I think they'd need to get harassed and threatened by the US or EU to do anything.
