didn't this already have a demo months ago and everything seems pretty complete already? what are they doing? is it just the fact they decided very late to go for more a global market and do more localization?

They are listening to every single piece of feedback they get and making sweeping changes based on what it is. They invented a bunch of new characters in a month because people didn't like that all the optional characters were voiced by japanese ecelebs. The last big change they made was finally letting you pick between japanese names and dub names because it was the biggest thing western players complained about.

they've said themselves that this is the final stream to prepare for launch, surely it can't be delayed yet again. right?

thanks, the feature list and stuff seems huge. it just seemed strange how long ago the demo was before release, since i wasn't really following news or anything like the launch delay.

when this game got announced i was a kissless virgin. i still am but i'm almost 10 fucking years older

Half your team is set characters and then you pick 5 characters. There were originally 10 of them you could pick between and all of them were some kind of vtuber or streamer and japs on twitter complained since some characters were fine and the eceleb was putting in effort but others were clearly just the streamer playing themselves and they should have gotten actual voice actors. Then 6 weeks later they released a new video and there were suddenly 5 more characters to pick from and all of them had normal voice actors so you can just pick them and skip the ecelebs entirely.

The new characters also dont show up at all in the opening that would have been made over a year ago so they weren't something that was always planned. The manga is using them though.

i can't really tell if this game is more like turn-based / blitzball style or a hybrid with real-time play being important?
i know you can move around and stuff in real time but, it is just like bliztball where its just filler between the command menu JRPG style or can you use a lot of skill there too?

the demo was so confusing i didnt play enough to learn anything
