The users and mods are both anonymous, and what appears on the front page is simply based on which thread got the most recent posts. No other platform does all of these things and most do none of them.

Everyone just uses the same couple sites. the internet is just corporate and sterile now. even the ui of most sites is ugly as fuck. and not even in a so ugly its charming kind of way. also giving third worlders internet access was a huge mistake. idk who thought that was a good idea.

i dont know what i was looking for originally but about a year ago i found a forum from 2003 where people would ask general questions about life.
one question was how to get cats to not piss on your car and the thread was 90% replies like "shoot the cat with a bb gun", "spray pepper spray on your car" and other stuff. the remaining replies where "oh noooo not the caterinoooo" and people who where calling them faggots for being so soft.
when i read this i felt like being greeted by a very old good friend. it was pure nostalgia. a blessing from the past. cant post shit like this nowadays or you get banned within minutes.
