The Elden Beast was damaged by the Shattering, from Marika's hammer, and MArika's hammer was damaged in the impact (which is why the player can wield them), just like Metyr by the Fingerslayer. The only Godslaying weapons the Tarnished can wield are those that lost their Godslaying ability. Likewise the player can only kill Gods before they olbtain Godhood or when they have lost it due to having been wounded by a Godslayingh weapon.

This is a more fun concept too when you realise this means Stormveil is more like Frankenstein's Castle, you're walking through a fortified laboratory. ER has better world building though since you have a ton of factions and a long, coherent timeline. There sometimes exist pockets of a small faction like the Zamor that don't have any crucial significance to the main happenings but it's just neat that they exist and can be learned about.
Also the GEQ mystery is better than Gwyn's firstborn (which got revealed eventually) and the pendant.

They were, the Snowy Crone in particular, which then taught Ranni to do the same with the Black Knives. The Eternal Darkness spell that the wounding of Metyr caused for example is shaped like a Black Moon, the missing Black Moon of Nokstella.

That's extremnely off character for a character that gave up her humanity, home and tribe and sacrificed them all in search for Godhood, with the only act of guilt being a healing spell for noone as desperate attempt to make amends for her sins. There's no indication that MArika ordered the assassination. The Black Kniveas being numen descendants does not directly relate them. There's no direct link between the Shattering and Godwyn either. Marika herself names the Shattering with ther specific purpose of merging with Radagon and the notion of a fit of rage and Godwyn assassination being linked is only ever hinted briefly as possible explanation from an external point of view.

I think you're just not understand the direct connection Lightning has with Deathroot. These concepts are all tied together, and that's what made Godwyn a threat to TGO. He's the "Old World", he is meant to be purity in the sense of Nietzsche's will to power. He understands the basic functions of life on the planet and he wishes to take advantage of it, whether that means regarding humanity in the process is the scary uncertainty. Lightning and Deathroot represent a form of spontaneous creation that Gurranq shows can be consumed for strength.

This is what you were meant to gather from the DLC, that despite Marika's grief over murdering her son she was experienced and justified in doing so.

The connection between Sacred Tree and people bound by the Order which manifests said Tree is also the crux of the Endings. Stormveil is a representation of Marika's sin of usurping the Order. If the inhabitants of the Lands Between are trees that can be grafted and mended together, sprout into deathroot when corrupted or can grow by accumulating life power, then when the Order they are bound to is undone they end up mutating without Order, growing those roots outwards into twisted and thorny branches, regardles sof them being dead or alive.

The soldiers are called soldiers of the grafted, but the same enemies with thorns appear elsewhere, in Caelid, and the thorns appear in other places. Thorns are the mutation of an heretic of the old Order, and this was such an important cultural element of the Golden Order that ever since prisoners were given fake thorns like the Bell Bearing Hunter to mark them.

The only grafted enemies are grafted scions, and the their grafting is limited to human limbs, a crude way to bypass the process of empowerment, just one of the ways sacrifices in Elden Ring can make someone stronger.

Godwyn didn't access any hidden information and has no agenda himself. The plot for him to die a martyr and being reborn went sideways (as the Finger Reader states) and the foundation of the Death Cult is based entirely on that, so there's no evidence that Godwyn was ever an heretic.

Even if Godwyn was willingly embracing Death and wanted to wed Ranni as Goddess and create an Age of Stars in contrast with the Golden Order, that still would have fuck all to do with Dragon Cult, that became accepted and spread in perfect communion with the precepts of the Golden Order.

Did you upgrade them to +25? +19 onwards, the weapons are reforged with smithing stones that grant the weapons powers to kill the giants and at +25 the dragon smithing stones give them to kill gods, which apparently the Elden Beast is.
The Fingerslayer Blade is a tool that has the properties to kill Two Fingers but it's not the only one

No, it's one of the best weapons in its class even in terms of damage, halberds just don't hit all that hard outside of the Nightrider Glaive on a pure STR build.
