Always aim for the neck/upper chest area, never purely on the head or else most of your pellets will miss.
Never use Wraith Form to engage, always use Shadow Step or sneak around on foot. In that vein, although Reaper isn't really a dive character, his big burst damage means you can disrupt the backline/midline by getting 1-2 decisive picks, so always consider flanking instead of just tankbusting.
Always ult from high ground or an unseen angle after a Shadow Step, never EVER run in with Wraith or else you'll get shut down instantly. There's also nothing wrong with using it to just kill a handful of people instead of saving it for huge team wipes; you can start using it for larger team plays once your game sense improves and you get a better grasp of tracking enemy cooldowns.
There are also other little tricks, like holding down the fire button to release a shot the moment Wraith ends to surprise any enemies pursuing you (you can combine this with ending Wraith early to throw them off guard even more) and looking straight down during Shadow Step, which will make you teleport in-place (99% people will turn around to look where you "teleported" off to, and you can use the temporary distraction to get a free kill or a small headstart on escaping.)
