Dota 2, whether you like it or not, is the absolute greatest pvp game ever made. No other videogame, even other mobas, have as intricate and as many actions and combinations and outcomes possible.
Souls games are fine and okay, but doing shit like NG+9 on Elden Ring or something like that is just pure autismo, speedrunning included.
Escape From Tarkov around 2019-2021 Was the absolute GREATEST gaming experience possible to this day and if you were playing consistently around that time then you know what I mean. I have unwarrantedly high hopes for 1.0 but I just know that the magic will never be rekindled again.
Guild Wars 2 is gay as fuck. And I'm not talking about Kamala Harris DEI gay. No, I mean like OG gay, before all of that kind of gay. It's just OG gay as fuck in every way, but almost to a point of respect. Like they weren't influenced by the outside world or politics, and they still just went all in on being as gay as fuck as possible so like, yeah that's cool I guess.

Valve doesn't listen to feedback or follow their customers' trends. They just randomly make stuff that we never realized we wanted or needed and just gently places it beside you for you to look at. "See that? Yeah it's awesome right? Cool have fun, btw we're never going to update it or come out with another version so enjoy"
Besides a few outliers, Zoomers and younger gen are actually far worse at gaming than younger Millennials.
Not enough games try to advance the medium forward. Practically every game that comes out just includes some amalgamation of mechanics that have already been done 100x over. Games that do try to are usually some shitty indie game that has that 1 mechanic that is really cool, but the rest of the game sucks. As much as you might not like the game, Death Stranding was the last AAA game that truly tried to advance the medium.
