No. It's the most PR-friendly version of the foundation that I've ever seen, to the point that it makes you wonder what was even the point.
The storyline especially deserves a mention:
I don't know who in the writing team got the idea that the MC should be able to stand along eldritch gods, but it's painfully stupid when you're trying to have themes of cosmic horror.
To be clear, I don't mind the director of the FBI making deals with Cthulhu, hell, that should be expected in that kind of setting, but if the foundation can just strongarm gods into doing what they want then what's the point of playing as them?
They should be making pointlessly evil sacrifices in exchange for lesser magical services, not get good deals that help humanity. You can even have the MC partially fix what they did in the past, but you can't "fix" the balance of power when things being outside of humanity's control is half the point of the genre
