What's the best samurai game of all time?

Ghost of Tsushima. It's boring and generic gameplay-wise, but it's a solid samurai sim with decent character customisation opportunities. If you're willing to ignore Jin's in-game characterization, you could be a:
>lone straw-hat ronin in all-white
>blind archer
>stealthy shinobi dressed in all-black
>master swordsman disguised as a humble traveller
>disgraced samurai turned highwayman
>wandering spirit of a samurai seeking vengeance
>defector from the shogun turned Mongol commander
Or any number of other variations, samurai or otherwise.
