As someone who never played Mass effect: is this a good deal? The first three games are included if I understood correctly.
The only thing I know is that the end of 3 is regarded as bad but I don't know the reason.

All of 3 is bad, but yes, that's a good deal. If you're autistic, you can mod it to look more or less like the original while not being restricted to poverty framerates.

the series is full of narrative choices, but the ending is just "choose 1 of 3 buttons, nothing else matters"

LE is fine. theres some aesthetic changes that arent great and 1 dlc is missing. if you really care, there are megamods that make them basically 1:1 with the originals.

yeah, theyre all in the top files. theres a ton there, but theyre pretty self explanatory and you can decide which ones you feel like you need. you will spend a lot of time sifting through them though. you can also just not use them, and get the mass effect experience with vanilla legendary edition.

Absolutely worth it even if the legendary collection is a pretty piss poor remastering in general. Your enjoyment of ME3 will be based entirely on whether or not you correctly picked the Vanguard class to become a teleporting muscle wizard

I made it about 10 hours into ME1 and 2 before dropping it forever. The combat sucks, the story isnt compelling, and I cant imagine listening to Shepard talk like an autist for three fucking games
