Kinda, the biggest issue with 100m bubble for alife and absolutely random zone. It doesn't work like: stalker searches for artifacts, bandits extort them, mercenaries do some shady stuff, Dolg\Freedom\Corps protects the territory. They travel the zone, and they shot each other. It also looks like mutants are hardcoded to the territory

I heard the events and mutated stuff was worse in 2 than the previous games.
I havent played any of the Stalker games so I wouldnt know.

I played it at release and only had some graphical issues with it(that ghosting / blurring problem and some weird lighting), so with 15+ patches, it should be much better now.

I'm not playing it until all the DLC is out and they've stopped releasing major updates. The wait for Stalker 2 continues far into the future...

are NPC's persistent characters who will traverse the zone and interact with each other and the zone now? or does shot just randomly spawn around you negating the whole point of a weapon with a scope? i played it on release and it was so fucking awful i couldn't bring myself to complete the first area

How's Gamma? It looks nice but I haven't played any of the Stalker games. Although I own SoC so maybe I should try that..

Fair enough, I think KCD1 still did some things better but at least the sequel largely improved on its predecessor's formula. That said, DD2 hype threads are the saddest in retrospect not just because the game turned out to be shit, but also because the cope around its release was absolutely pathetic.

They haven't even revealed any of the DLC. At this rate the game will be "finished" half a decade after its release.
