The St/v/dent Council is taking on new staff! Would your favourite video game character join their esteemed ranks? What new ideas and policies would they suggest?

Based off the screenshot I thought this was Valkyria Chronicles. Is this game comparable at all?

not really
first of all, it's game 6 in a 13 game series. subsequent games in the series often have a lot of throwbacks and references to older games, so imo you would miss out on a lot by jumping into game 6
aside from that, the combat is classic turn-based JRPG, while valkyria chronicles is a tactical RPG
valkyria chronicles has perma-death. also you are somewhat encouraged to experiment with different party members. trails games generally feature a much smaller, more focused cast
they are somewhat alike in their anime-isms (they are both japanese games after all) but i'd say that's where the similarities end

>>723830165
Nah, the games are nothing alike. Trails is a turn based JPRG, Valkyria is kind of a strange blend of TRPG and shooter. Both are amazing though.

I just really dig the way they do the anime artstyle or whatever. It feels like 3d anime games all pick between 1 of 3 artstyles and just roll with it.

I think you'd like Trails. Zemurian early learning is done at churches, and basically every town has a church where you can pop in and see the kids having their classes.
The series is actually very positive on religion, which is interesting given the typical JRPG genre cliche we all know.

Honestly, "Church bad" isn't that common of a trope in JRPGs. Even the ones I can immediately think of are usually more misguided than outright evil.
Regardless, be prepared for Jeanne to be extremely strict. She considered good luck charms to be pagan, for example.

Anyway, recently returned to the Eastern Region in Death Stranding after like two hundred hours of trying to 100% the Central Region. I already did all the standard deliveries and collected all the memory chips in Central (as many as are available before postgame anyway) so now I returned to Eastern to tie up those loose ends. Gotta say, it’s surreal returning to the tutorial region after so long. It’s so comfy there though. The mountains just rise up all around you and hug you like a warm blanket. The BTs are so much more annoying there though funnily enough, the forest just before the Wind Farm and the Asylum mountain climb in particular are such a chore to climb through. It’s good to be back though. Eastern is basically a smaller, denser Central. Once I do all the standard deliveries and collect all the memory chips in Eastern, I’ll double check Central to see if there’s any content leftover and then I’ll finally cross the tar lake into Western. Only problem is there’s no hot springs in Eastern and my autism refuses to let me use a private room to rest. But I’ll manage somehow.
And, yes, I know nobody asked

Give it a try and play through the prologue and see how much you like it. It’s one of those games you can only enjoy if you’re massively autistic. I personally find the game very therapeutic and enlightening. Though to most it’s just a comfy FedEx simulator, but even that part is very enjoyable too.
>>723837219
Both really. I really love this game and I want to sort of feel it thoroughly, if that makes sense. I don’t think I can put it down until I 100% it. But, yes, a big part of it is also getting to platinum it as a badge of autism
