In the actual games, werehog had more strength feats than him, and BIG is the fucking "crazy physically strong" character.

In the IDW comics, he's either never there, or pulls off ridiculous anti-feats like getting countered by a Zombot Shadow who is too retarded to even work his skates
Other than that, all he does is job. He is a character that lives purely by statements such as "he is as strong as sonic is fast" and his feat from 31 years ago (that many others have replicated on a much stronger super sonic). He is lucky to even appear at all because of his role of being the guardian of a object that nobody cares about on an island nobody cares about.
The moment ANYBODY cares about it, he is literally destined by the plot to FAIL at his one job.

We all know that CHADvok is the strongest. Sonic had to go Super in order to beat a giant Zavok with one (1) Chaos Emerald in the comics. Also in Lost World's final "battle"--if we can even call it that, Sonic used explosives against him instead of his raw powers. Clearly base Sonic can't handle giant Chadvok. 2-0 btw.
