the gurus of today started out as the rank and file back in their day and slowly developed their skills over time
i.e. if you eliminate grunt work, you're shutting the door in newcomers' faces.
you can't begin as a head chef if you haven't worked at all stations in the kitchen. you also need people skills to thrive
what boomers like kojimbo are doing is kicking the ladder from out under them and throwing the young to the wolves.
they're raising the bar so high that soon you'll need 10 years of experience in a field before you get a basic position. it's like a requiring doctors to complete surgeon programs before they're allowed to do their residency (because all of a physician's tasks are performed by AI so only surgery is left for humans to do)
