This, among any of the other games in the genre, is what I think of the most when I picture "soulsslop." I say this as someone who likes the genre, but nothing is more derivative than Lies of P. No other game, other than maybe Khazan, truly misunderstands what it means to be a soulslike more than Lies of P. It is the shining example of what the genre has degraded into.

This game has ZERO fucking level design. It is focused SOLELY around the boss battles and the fuckass Sekiro perfect-block mechanic that draws the combat to a complete fucking halt 90% of the time, yet the modern soulslike fan will sit there and praise it as the next coming of christ, because their first game in this rotting genre was fucking DARK SOULS 3. The beginning of the slop era. The same kinds of braindead faggots that unironically enjoy Nightreign.

Elden Ring was a decent game, for what it was, but the fact there are now normalfags out there even claiming that Lies of Piss is better than ER, let alone something like Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne, is fucking laughable.

I agree OP, and i dont even think lies of P is a bad game. Its a 7/10 at best, but the shamelessness is unignorable. There are basically no optional bosses in this game, its one gigantic corridor.
And about the parry mechanic, it actually has thematic importance in Sekiro. You are a shinobi bred and trained to kill efficiently. You exploit a break in posture to deliver the fatal blow, instead of killing by a thousand cuts.
The parry in lies of P is just there just because.
Hell, there are weapons that just clip right through the puppets neck to block, cause they just didnt try to give weapons a unique animation for blocking. It is also barely an RPG.
Also, despite the puppet being mechanical, he moves and fidgets around like a fucking sperg in all his animations.
Oh, and despite the game taking ideas from sekiro... they kept the shit awful jumping from dark souls, which fromsoft stopped doing in 2016/17, further cementing how shameless their "inspiration" is.
It would be funny if there was a developer diary, and in the footage it just shows all the devs having dark souls on a second monitor and pointing at the screen for shit they need to copy.

I got to the corrupted clown and dropped it. That fight was pure artificial difficulty, wasn't worth my time at that point. Don't care how close to the end I was.

I'm at the start of island of alchemist, and the game feel really mediocre so far, gonna start the DLC to see if anything improve or it's just more of the same. Maybe i just dislike puppet and blue blood zombie shit but all the monster and boss design so far look fucking ugly as shit. The parry is also not hard at all, and you can parry everything, dodging feel useless and clunky as fuck even with link dodge

Not a single game is soulslike. Parry trash sure as fuck is not. Souls is the 3d successor to metroid and zelda. Open exploration with varied combat options. I have never once parried playing Souls games.
This gookshit is even worse because it tries to hide the extremely jank animations behind making enemies puppets. Parry needs to work when the attack starts to when it hits, not the precise moment it hits. Companies make a longer and longer delay that only fucks up the timing even more because their timing window is fucking retarded and they think the random delay gives reaction time when it does not.

Yeah, the level design is really bland and boring, same with the enemy design boring puppet and ugly zombie, there are few mini boss in each stage and every singlt one of them has delayed attack lol. The assemble weapon part look fun at first but become boring halfway through the game when boss weapon become way better and flashy than lel saw on stick.
If you want good level design soulsclone better play something like Wuchang or AI limit
