I agree that it feels like the usual Platinum fare instead of NG1-3. Let's be honest though, if Team Ninja made it in-house then it wouldn't be a proper action game at all, it'd be yet another looter Soulslike like fucking everything else they've made in the last ten years.
I don't want to see Ryu have to collect 40 swords of +2 damage and it seems that TN knew that which is why they outsourced the game to the only studio that could do the franchise justice.
