I bought it, the combat is dumb but fun and I know ill get like 30 hours out of it

I played it a few hours and it makes me so mad, it truly is a The Chinese Room game considering what a boring walking sim it is

You walk one hour, can't even run or do flashy stuff because hobos everywhere staring at you. You arrive at place, one hour of cutscenes with boring dialogue options and boring girl boss characters. Thersybarely any combat and the combat itself is so wonky and lame.
Phyre is such a trash protagonist too and all his outfits are hideous.

I played both oWoD and nWoD. I was one of the few people buying every splatbook I could find to find more creepy cool shit or interesting new ability to my campaigns. I only ever got into Werewolf, Mage, Geist etc. because of VTMB. I think it deserves the credit people give it.

The vampire's body is locked to what they were like at the time of their embrace. The pill would have zero effect to begin with - it would be like eating an apple.

The thing is, the Tzimisce can change bodies - permanently. But they are sadists. You could legitimately write a good body dysmorphia story where a vampire wants to change their body but it is impossible because it would mean subjecting yourself to the Tzimisce, who will absolutely torture and murder you. Shit could be so tragic because despite being superhuman, they can't have the thing they want most. All vampires are plagued by mental illnesses and having your natural problem plus a vampiric form of paranoia would be an incredibly sad character.

It would be interesting to see the very thinblood part of vampire society - they would essentially be no better than slaves; the embrace legitimately ruined their lives.
