You don't, its a game for casuals which is fine. The only way to make people prestige aka self-wipe would be putting real power behind it, but they already said they won't. If you self-wipe, and 90% of people won't, you just queue into people with mountains of good gear every match.

People would whine if prestige allowed you to even further increase max stash, something out-of-match like that still would get people mad. I can't remember if you could reroll skill points in TT2, but you could also lock respecs behind prestige since you have to start over from level 1 anyways.

Latest crazy internet thing I've seen about the game is that there's a possibility IGN is in cahoots with Bungie to sabotage Arc Raider's public perception. They've sung nothing but praises about Marathon, yet any time AR is brought up, they just shit talk it constantly despite the glowing impressions from every other site and Youtuber.

I was hyped for it until I played the server slam. Holy shit I haven't decided to nope out of a purchase this fast since a long long time. The PVP feels like some stitched on top of the game shit I've seen in a long time. It's a really great game visually though, that's about it.

Its crazy they went with pvp. Both big pve games are dying fast. Destiny2 and hd2. Pve is best part of arc. It looks good. It feels good. Pvp feels like chore. And pvp space is over saturated. But corporate suits feel like they can crack casual extraction shooter space.

There's multiple ways you can do it. One is that gear will always just deteriorate, so you'll never to constantly craft/loot new stuff over and over. Another could be that they introduce new zones/areas regularly where you either can't bring in certain gear, or maybe introduce a whole new tier of gear that invalidates the old stuff.

I'm actually hyped for it too, I wasn't sure if zi was gonna shill $40 for it and I'm still not, I need to see what the cheater and anti-cheats is like but I had a lot of fun in the test and the gameplay loop is nice.

In Hunt, every single weapon can kill a player with a single headshot. Gear is not as important there. There are no crafting or building either, so having hundreds of hours over the competition doesn't give you an insurmountable advantage.

Lost my interest after they changed it from PvE to PvPvE.
Don't care if I'm a casual but my interest for vanilla Tarkov completely disappeared once I found out SPT existed.
I can't imagine myself seriously playing another PvP extraction shooter ever again, these games have become too sweaty for my liking.

I enjoy it a lot more than Zero Sievert, if that means anything for you. Max default difficulty though, otherwise it's too easy since inventory is only dropped on death not destroyed. The only thing I'm missing is inventory tetris and attachments actually showing up on weapons. Good to get on a sale, it was for around 10bux for me. Also has mod support out the box.

I don't fully understand the relationship Embark and Nexon have but it's clearly not overbearing enough they can go full Maplestory on them without any recourse.

Lately I've realized the peak of a mutliplayer shooter is quite literally the beta.

Scriptkiddies won't have something great yet if at all, so cheating is completely minimized.

Shit battlefield 6 first beta to second beta weekend the quality dropped so much because you could tell hacks dropped and there was someone running a script is pretty much every lobby.

It's why while I enjoyed this game during the beta idk if I can play it going into launch.

I'm just gonna regurgitate what I keep thinking of this game and how it's fundamentally flawed from a concept standpoint. It's a game that's made for no one.
PvP boils down to 3rd person corner peeking where you'll eventually attract an arc or another player and get shot from behind. Just wear the heaviest armour and always use medium/heavy bullets, hardly any reson to use light ammo weapons.
PvE instead boils down to aggroing an arc which then in turn attracts even more annoying ass robots and best of all, more players. Avoiding them is hard since their scanning range is retarded huge and they won't loose aggro for like MINUTES after loosing sightline of you. The loot you gather? all boring junk and you WILL have to grab it because of the crafing mechanics back at the base. This game doesn't apease PvP or PvE players. Only positive is that it looks and runs good but that's it.

"high level" gunfights in this game are just going to be holding third person angles behind a wall and peeping out for a nanosecond to shoot a bolt action and then hiding again

The hype for this feels artificial. It's literally a standard extraction shooter with the only difference being that the NPC enemies are robutt drones.

let me give you guys some tips from playing all the betas and the server slam

1) accumulate a massive stockpile of grenades, always be progressing the game but also always be accumulating shit tons of explosive and smoke grenades, these are actually your most important weapons on a drop. Continue to accumulate grenades always. If you intend to seriously pvp bring at least 10 frags every time. 5 smokes is mandatory for every kit IMO. More grenades. Have excess materials? turn them into grenades. Using grenades is iwin vs somebody who doesn't have them, every time.
2) don't free drop unless its for fun or lols or absolute necessity, If you want to scavenge then always drop with a looting pack + some smoke grenades and meds + at least 1 adrenaline, and a FERRO rifle to deal with arc. This setup is cheap and easy to make, and it about 500% more effective at surviving and extracting with. You need smokes to reliably extract. Otherwise get used to wasting your time, it feels BAD to find something good with free kit and then lose it because you didn't bother to bring a cheap simple setup.
3) use your emotes to greet other players, but always do it from cover and be prepared to run. It's best to greet somebody by surprise from long distance if you intend to be friendly, the further away you are the more success you have, I feel. Solo dropping and 'making a friend' is almost always a guaranteed extract, and its actually super common and easy to do. Learn how to switch your pings from private to public, and public ping locations for the randoms you meet to coordinate.
4) the more items/heavier weight you are carrying, the noisier you are and louder your footsteps are. If you're 49.5/50 people can hear you from a long way off and its very difficult to maintain anything like the element of surprise.

Have you tried camping yourself? It gets really quickly. And the maps are designed for it. There are no barricades high enough to cover you completely crouched, but short enough to shoot when standing (Which would let you shoot then reposition to pop out somewhere else). Best you get is walking out of a corner, which after you lose the surprise of the first shot is a detriment because they can shoot you before you can shoot them

5) Door blockers are worth their weight in gold for looting high value areas. They take awhile to pry open, and its very noisy and obvious when its happening, so it gives you a chance to run. If you're tired of being snuck up on from behind, block a door. Many players opt to find another entrance instead of pry open a block, so its also a method to control the flow of foot traffic into a building if you are doing pvp.
6) If you met someone cool while solo you can check your 'met players' list after the match, and also your journey map, then you can add them as a friend. You don't need to come into the game with friends, you can meet them easily just being friendly or creative.
7) jumping into an extract elevator at the last second after somebody else started it is one of the safest ways to escape, basically you just hide until someone else starts the extract, then smoke it as its about to close and run in, use an adrenaline shot if you want to stay super mobile, if the door is closing nobody has enough time to execute you even if they down you in the elevator

8) Every piece of fortification or placeable you bring and setup in the world can be taken down and back into your inventory. After you are done looting an area be sure to sweep up your barricades and door blockers, and even your mines if you have them down. Barricades and etc aren't consumables, they are placables and you can use them over and over again as long as they weren't broken.
9) Don't hide in bushes. First of all they don't render at long range, and secondly they are smaller/dont even exist at low graphics settings. To lots of people you will appear to be crouching out in the open. Just don't be surprised when hiding in a bush that looks really good doesn't work for you.
10) If its a super messed up match and everyone is camping hard and sweating, your only option might be to extract at the last moment in the match possible. All the pvpers/campers have to go also, so there is a brief moment when the elevator is preparing to leave where you can get in with some smokes and escape that way, no matter how camped everything is/was.

basically you want faster loot reveal and every stamina boosting/recharging ability
every pvp rat will have max stamina regen builds, and if you don't also have them you will not be able to keep up/escape
the difference between full stamina builds and not is pretty huge
stamina isn't just for sprinting, its for dodge rolling, which is a crucial tool for avoiding grenades or shotguns

I do think there is something to be said for a full stealth/no noise build, but haven't tested how much reduction in sound 5/5 on everything is. If its totally silent breaching and looting it might be pretty amazing for sneaky solo playing.

They shuffled around skills from TT2 to this tree, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again. I went for the 11 mobility for stamina/less stamina usage while moving then just red for loot speed+field crafting. There is also a node on the red side to sometimes make extra field craftable loot appear, so checking every player body seems worth it

I played ABI because it was free, I already owned tarkov so there was nothing to lose for me. I also don't play tarkov anymore, I simply got bored of it. But ABI is abysmal dogshit for chinks and third world shiteaters with no standards. The only thing it has over tarkov is continual healing, everything else is garbage. Because of not having a 80 bucks paywall it also has significantly more cheaters and tarkov is certainly not a shining example of anti-cheat efficiency in the first place.
