How should we deal with video game generals?
>wanna talk about game
>post thread about it
>instantly bumped to page 2 by the AI general
>instantly bumped to page 4 by the uma general
>instantly bumped to page 6 by the blue archive general
>instantly bumped to page 8 by the deltarune general
>instantly bumped to page 10 by the Nintendo girls general
>instantly killed by the limbus general
>click in said generals
>just people talking to themselves instead of video games
What's the points of these threads? How can we get rid of them?

People have been asking the same question forever now.

All of these threads are full of people talking about videogames except the AI art fags. If nobody replied to your thread it's because it was stupid or unengaging. If takes over an hour for a thread to archive after its last bump.

these kind of problems are completely rooted in the uncaring moderation team. the only solution is to make your own *chan. but i think most people actually like the state of the board.

It takes like 15 minutes nowadays because theres a new general for every new gacha game or AI engine model.

It is, generally, yeah. If they stopped arbitrarily deleting threads of games they don't like and nuked thr AI art threads it would be perfect

No, it takes an hour, you can go check for yourself right now.

Nobody browses by pages anymore.
Your thread died because nobody was interested in it.

There's an AI slop general on just about every board.
OpenAI pays for advertising space to allow it. Attempting to report the threads for spam doesn't even go into a queue, they're protected by the site owner.
This is what you're complaining about.

If I make a thread about a video game that isn't one of the small handful of popular titles discussed ad nauseum I usually have to bump it half a dozen times myself before I start getting posts from other people, and it still usually dies after ~30 posts tops. Been like this for nearly a decade.

Also, with the proliferation of AI, I feel like upwards of half the posts in any major thread are bots. I can't prove it, but removing the IP counter means doing this to artificially inflate post count would be easier to hide.

If the hack taught us anything, it's that the other options fucking suck. A chunk of refugees ended up on infinitychan but the site made you feel like you were back in the early 2000s with a DSL connection, and the captchas were a pain in the fucking ass. The QoL is so low that most people would rather just get to the old and decayed town square where everyone already is.

The AI spam is mod protected.

I'd take shitty site hardware for a bit if it meant having mods that actually follow the spirit of the board and thread IDs to snuff out samefags. But no, everyone just had to flock back here like a bunch of battered housewives. We actually like having schizos that buy passes so they can bend threads around their inane whims. The IP counter was hurting our dearest users (Astroturfing marketers). And we of course prefer the QoL of only being able to post one image at a time.
