Friendly reminder that VTM Swansong is the most faithful VTM videogame adaptation. VTMB2 is measured against this, not against VTMB1. The punk/goth stuff has been gone for years. VTMB2 was never going to reproduce it any more than Baldur's Gate 3 was going to be RTWP. There is some very clear culture shock going on where people are completely thrown by VTMB2's complete abandonment of the aesthetics of VTMB1 in favor of something closely mimicking Swansong, a game they never played, and in fact probably never even heard of.

Is this the visual novel? Are any of the other games worth playing?

No, it's a way overcomplicated CRPG where every action has a dice roll. It's the complete opposite of a VN. And yes, some of the VNs are nice.

Same reason Baldur's Gate 3 is called that despite not mechanically or tonally resembling BG2 at all. This is one of the problems with adaptations. You saw the same thing with The Darkness 2, where they reworked the game to be more like the comics.

the new direction world of niggers and dykes took is only a third of the promlem, two thirds consist of the dogshit combat with complete fucking absence of a real skill tree, items, and any fucking rpg mechanics in dialogues. fucking christ, you fell like a thin blood, and half the fucking lgbtbbq niggerdyke populace refers to you as fucking new blood like in neophyte - you essentially never feel like a fucking elder.
i have half the feeling you were fresh blood initially and then they half assed the rewrite to elder at some point.
