What's weird is that part of the code they haven't cracked is that no one is going to whale for your gachatrash when you've established yourself as the "EOS in a year"-company.
At this point I'd honestly suggest letting a 3rd party take a crack at it and try to keep your involvement to a minimum.

I feel that Final Fantasy has devolved into nothing but self-inflation these days. Everything new in the series is either total garbage or some "celebration of the franchise". The latter is just nostalgia wank for their dwindling supply of retarded fanboys and the former does nothing but further drive said franchise into the ground. I have no idea what executives at the company must talk about in their meetings but the fact that they haven't made a memorable game in decades should be more concerning than it apparently is.
