Now I have a question: Wouldn't this fall into the same category as Umi? As in you can't have multiple copies of Umi, Pacifis, A Legendary Ocean and etc. because they're all treated as "Umi" and therefore you can only have 3 copies in total? Albaz the Ashen is different because the name is changed only while on the field or GY, but White Dragon is ALWAYS treated as "Fallen of Albaz".

One of the main things I hate about yugioh is the banlist exists solely to sell new cards, not balance the game. It means if I like a deck it just won't be able to compete for long because not only will it be power crept by new decks but konami will hit it on the banlist to make it way less consistent to try and force you to play something else.
Branded seems like a deck that konami is constantly trying to sell which means it will basically never get hit outside branded fusion bouncing around. I should probably just learn branded and have a deck that will forever be playable.

Them doing this actually slows down power creep a lot while making sure the meta actually cycles and new shit sells. The current best decks aren't particularly better than Snake Eyes was, and Snake Eyes was heavily kneecapped by the limited list. The future best decks aren't particularly better than the current ones either, and so far nothing in the OCG has crept those.
That's why actual rogue decks hover around the same level of viability for as long as they do, and you still get shit like Vaylantz in the DC top 100. Yugioh's power creep while still vast isn't nearly as bad as people say it is.
I do still wish they would be more proactive about using the banlist to create an enjoyable meta, but I would much rather they kill off meta decks with the banlist rather than by just making the next meta deck way stronger.

What you're wrong about though is Branded being safe, cause it's not. Konami keeps banning and limiting Branded cards to sell you different, more expensive Branded cards. I wish I never got into Yugioh. It's a horrible waste of money and not really that fun in the first place. Plays are always super linear and most matches come down to who had the better starting hand or won the coinflip.

Playing the TCG competitively is a horrible money sink, nobody's going to disagree with that. The TCG in particular is extremely blatant about banning shit to push sales rather than just to force a new meta after the current one has overstayed its welcome. If people start playing a non-Konami approved deck like Naturia in the TCG then it gets banned immediately.
That's a big part of why a lot of people prefer MD. The incentives aren't there to totally gut a deck to unplayability like in the TCG since they're permanently selling the old decks in MD, so instead they typically just receive minor nerfs that will make meta players move onto the new thing while people who actually liked the old meta deck can still play it fine.

12k cards working just fine, but 350 Pend cards require their own treatment and have their own retarded code.

2 text boxes with 2 separate font sizes while every other card has 1. Special card frames with translucent parts and thin margins on the sides of the art. 1024x512 art when every other card's is 512x512. Specific Pendulum effect markers in the middle of their text. Can some experienced brandedtard point me to the quickest way to start playing this deck with my current collection? Not my list, grabbed it off MDM to see how far I'm from playing it. I'm aware you can get 3x fusion deployment from the cydra starter deck.
With the new support announced I wanted to do something and allocate 1k gems every month towards pulling a pack from a deck I want to build (so I don't blow my entire savings on the selection pack), this way I'm forcing myself to work towards deck that I want to play but I'm never building.
Turns out my 10 pull had NO UR because fuck you konami. But my second pull had 8 URs, crazy. A mercourier, two albion, two branded fusion, a nadir servant, pretty nasty pull. I could dust some cards because I have 3 albions and 3 branded fusions and I don't think fusion is ever going to 3. Or at least you're never playing 3 albion in your deck.

Anyways, directions are welcome. I'd like to start learning how to play this. I could swap some cards I don't have if I have fitting replacements. For example I have a copy of Alba-Lenatus in my collection, dunno if it gets played at all.

Sure, the quickest way to start playing that deck would be to open the deck editor, right click on any of the greyed out cards, then play it.
I'm only being 80% facetious here, it's a 60 card pile, you aren't going to notice major differences cutting a handful of maindeck cards. Getting the 1 Branded Lost crafted is going to be the biggest difference maker in the maindeck, aside from the Deployments which are cheap, and you can just run more Kitts as a budget space filler if you want. Borreload Furious is a tech card, I'd replace it with Lenatus to dab on Dragon decks, or Dragostapelia as a budget option. The other missing ED cards are pretty important

Yeah, the fusion deployments I can get at any time, no big deal.
I could also replace whatever for a despian tragedy which isn't ideal but eh. Some decks play one of it. In fact I looked at one of abohmod's recent lists and he played one copy.

Seeing how the Charmers look like their level 3 child age as well as their familiars looking like their level 2 forms, I have a feeling we might learn about their origin. I'm really hoping we also get a timeskip to the their level 4 teenage years and later as their young adult level 5 Channeler forms. I really like how Aussa now has a cleavage cut-out on her sweater. Shame she loses the spats though.

I'm really hoping this doesn't mean we'll get flip support. Even though the level 4 Charmers are basically vanilla monsters, they at least draw 1 card off of Awakening of the Possessed and get the attack boost from Unpossessed. It's really gonna suck if the new support wants you to run the Flip charmers again. You normally would only run the Lyna or Dharc flip monsters and the rest of the Charmers are their level 4 forms.

The only way I could see this happening is each girl supporting their original clan, but we have yet to know for sure if Eria belongs with Gishki and we don't even know where Hiita or Aussa came from. Why is Konami doing this much to help a no-name original deck of theirs instead of pulling Red-Eyes or Dark Magician up into Meta relevancy?

Ive concluded I only hate modern Yugioh because the deck archetypea are OCs instead of the anime ones.
If Black Luster Soldier, Toons, Elemental hero, Armed Dragon Ojama, Stardust or Time Wizard & Baby Dragon were THIS strong I wouldn't be complaining, why would I? I'd just have fun playing the game.
Imagine that instead of Mitsurugi, Ryzeal, Yummy, K9 Vanquish Soul or Branded, those cards were never printed and instead their overpowered game plans were given to the decks I wrote above. Yeah I don't think I would be angry. They're the core base of this game.

Although... I agree I hated Dark Magician with all of my soul during their heyday in Duel Links, with Magic Circle or whatever instantly vanishing everything you tried to play, it was such a cancerous anti meta deck.


Maybe multiple decks should get the face-lift around the same time, so you don't have BEWD or DM dominating, but at least 3 big anime decks contending with each other like in the Starter decks era.

I did get back in the game when I heard Blue eyes became Meta, then it only lasted like 1 or 2 months.
They got revived with Primite, some of the most expensive cards I've seen, AND AGAIN DIED WITHIN 1-2 MONTHS it's fucking crazy.

I like DMG, though not as much as other yugioh girls. Here's a collection of what I had a few earlier this year. Gives Charmers access to a Banish all face-up cards your opponent controls during your opponent's turn which is cool as well as Omnibuster himself having two chances to handrip your opponent.

One thing about the new Albaz card is he is not a tuner so you have to run a copy of Incredible Ecclesia if you want to make the 8 which ALSO means you probably want to run a single copy of regular Albaz for his fusion effect so it’s a 2-1 ratio for the new searcher which is a really nice way to balance a OP card

Realistically though Toons should have a complete overhaul. Their gameplan is extremely uninteractive because all it is is

The problem is that that gameplan is accurate to the manga where it was one of the most iconic duels so turning the deck into a regular interuption based board-building strategy would be utterly sovlless.
Toons do have some really powerful cards though. Table of Contents, Bookmark, Toon DM, etc so any Toon Circular would instantly boost the deck a ton since it'd be very accessible.
If they gave it serious support I'd imagine that it'd be engine improvements that'd let you more reliably build a board and protect it with Toon Terror+Bookmark then OTK on turn 3. It'd be kind of like Melodius. They could also just make it an OTK deck. Some of the current Toons can already attack the turn they're summoned. They can make extra deck Toons too. Toon Dark Paladin or even Accesscode sounds cool.
If they did give it proper quick effects, like a quick effect Comic Hand/Mimicat or maybe just do like Golden Allure Queen does and make their current Toons into quick effects(DM could summon Harpie, BLS could banish, etc) then I think it'd be cool if it came with a mandatory Toon Defense type effect that lets your opponent attack directly as a downside.

It all starts with a link 1 monster.

In Melodious' defense it's had the setup potential for a long ass time, it just lacked a true lynchpin card and a true boss monster. Bacha and Etoile are the actual cards that the deck needed. The rest of the support brings it up to modern standards of consistency but those two are the ones that make it finally fucking playable.

Shaddolls have some good flip effects. Dragon is a bounce, Squamata is a pop, and Beast adds two bricks to your hand, or Maxx C to hand when used by the opponent. Getting those on top of a book of Eclipse can be really good if they update the engine as well.
The only issue is how frontloaded all those effects are.

The best use won't be to use it on Shadoll monsters, it will be using it in flipslop decks with other flips that have good effects like Enneacraft or like a prediction princess deck.
Just having a quick effect ability to flip a flip monster whenever you want is pretty useful.

Changing it to Elfnote is a potential future proofing, I think, it would be naive to expect it to be "Elven" to begin with.
There is that duelist in the manga who uses an "Elf" archetype which does not exist for certain but one of the cards is confirmed to be getting released in an upcoming product.
It'd be more practical to change "Elv" to "Elf" so that if there's some pack filler card they don't need to write, "Add 1 'Elf' or 'Elv' or 'Celtic Guard' Monster from your deck to your hand." and they can just write it as "Elf" and then add a little blurb on Celtic Guardian monsters that they count as "Elf" cards.
I mean with this in mind it would have been very possible for the archetype to try renaming itself "Celticore" or something.

You literally only need to put 1 shaddoll card in your main deck to make a shaddoll fusion monster useful.
Like, it's pretty common for Tearlament decks to play just one Shaddoll Beast so they can Wenda floodgate.
I don't see any reason why any deck that uses flip monsters in any part of its strategy can't just toss one shaddoll monster in their deck and some way to trigger fusion summon and have access to quick effect for all of their flip monsters

Because shaddoll doesn't have a good way to fuse when going first, that's why a shaddoll deck nowadays only has schism, apkallone and winda in it, the rest is invoked and dogmatika. Even going the tearlaments route, that still necessitates running at least 1 wen and milling her successfully, she then summons dragon/squamata and fuses into the new wendi.

Yes, and Goblin Biker Grand Entrance can add to hand then special summon Scrap Goblin to synchro summon Rciela and do a White Forest combo. The new Archfiends can search Archfiend's Gastly Glitch and Regenesis Archfiend because they both have "Demon" in the name in Japan. They could easily do the same with Elf cards.

You're not being clear, I don't get what you're saying here. They named Scrap Goblin "Goblin" to keep it consistent with the other goblins. They could've named it Scrap Gobbler if they thought that sounded better, but that would not have been future proof for a future Goblin deck. That foresight paid off when they DID make "Goblin" support with Goblin Bikers.
That's the same situation we're in now with "Elf" cards. They could one day make an "Elf" archetype, and so they should keep it consistent with the OCG "Elf" cards.
