But why?? It would cut on costs so freaking hard, at least do them as side projects with a massive return on investment. Imagine Pokémon or Final Fantasy releasing a simple 16-bits videogame in the big 2026 without voice acting nor big cinematics, just gameplay, a simple story and a charming visual style. For fans, it would be AMAZING. Maybe it won't be pulling as many newcomers but fans who want more videogames of their favorite IP would buy it regardless and it probably takes them less than a year to craft such a game.
Beat em' ups as Pic related maybe aren't the most popular though, it would sell so much more if that Marvel game was instead an rpg.
