How come physical retro games come with guides and stickers and SOUL, but today's physical games are just the disc? One would think that now that physical is dying they'd add some trinkets to justify buying them but literally the opposite is happening.

They want it to die. If you haven't noticed our overlords don't want us owning anything at all, they want to abolish private property (for us only lol) Thus the unbearable push to put fucking DRM everywhere and even the things you could technically "own" are so expensive and suck so much that unless you're really autistic and rich you won't bother.
