NG4 is my first Ninja Gaiden game and I am pleasantly surprised with what otherwise could be marketed as MGR2, but it is no surprise that this game is flopping hard.
>no denuvo
>no marketing
>out of nowhere dropping a sequel for a dead franchise almost no one played
>this franchise is only known for being infamous for its worshippers laughing at soulsfags/hkfags for thinking their games are hard
My first reaction was to skip it if anything because I wouldn't know the story. Then I found it was a soft reboot and the rest is history. But how are most consumers supposed to do all this research just to finally play this game? Seriously what a disaster.

>no denuvo
>on game pass
>no woke
>gameplay-focused rather than a movie game
>great production value
it's like what /v/ thinks would be the perfect bestest game of all time, except in reality no one cares about it

OP here I usually hate steam chart threads but this isn't the typical thread saying "hurr this game only has 150k concurrent players the other one has 170k!!". I am just pointing out that the game was a colossal failure and using charts as evidence of this, but I could use lots of other sources as proof, the game is a failure all across the board.

Why do you need to do research to play a game? Back in 2005 I played DMC3 without having played the first two games. Everyone on this board played Armored Core 6. I will never buy into the idea that you have to reboot your IP every time you make a new release. Simply calling the game Ninja Gaiden: Bottom Text wouldn't have changed anything
